There are some significant changes that take place in a woman’s life.
One of them is menopause.
I think a training bra needs to be added to the list too.
Menopause marks the end of the ability to conceive a child. Yea! No more tampons. There will be no more menstrual cycles once the woman is in complete menopause. And don’t ask is once in menopause always in menopause?
Now, it can take years to go from the start to completely finishing it. Most women start the process around 45 and finish around 60. There are exceptions. My cousin went through complete menopause at 28 and once a woman has a complete hysterectomy…well..it’s a wrap!
Now, here is a common misconception.
Women who have gone through menopause no longer have any sexual desire. They may continue to engage in the activity to keep their partner happy, but they don’t get any pleasure out of it. This is certainly not the truth though. Ok, can anyone tell me who the hell came up w/that?
Many women over the age of 60 are in very fulfilling sexual relationships.
They love not having to worry about their period. And kids, who wouldn’t?
Let me pause for a second and say men, also have to deal w/a woman’s cycle (My dad use to say cycle. Made it sound like a factory), her mood swings, and sometimes physical discomfort.
Anyway getting back to no worries….. . The change of life eliminates an unwanted pregnancy very late in life. This new freedom means a woman can fully focus on the act of sexual activity and not the various repercussions. Many women experience problems with the vagina being dry after menopause (the ol’ powder-puff puss). Vaginal dryness can cause a mental block with sexual intercourse. This can make it hard to get pleasure out of sex. There are some great products on the market that will allow you to moisturize the vagina without any negative side effects. It is a good idea for a woman with such issues to see a gynecologist for a complete evaluation. They can come up with a natural remedy that can prevent ongoing issues. Don’t be embarrassed to discuss the issue with your doctor either. They deal with such issues all the time. They will know how to help you get back on the saddle.
Communicate, talk, and listen it is important to discuss what has taken place.
So, what do you think? I wanna hear from some men out there.
